The Paralympic Games

The Paralympic Games are the version of the Olimpic Games for the athletes that have fisical and  intellectual disabilities and are the biggest sporting event for disable peaple. They occured some days after the Olimpic Games, in the same city, and, as the Olimpic Games, there are two versions of this games: the sunner games and the winter games.

The first Paralympic Games occurred in Roma in 1960 with 400 athletes competing 8 sports. After that, this games grow up and, in this year edition, there will be played 22 sports. Some of this sports are versions of tradicional sports, like football and basketbal, and some are different and little known sports, as the goalball. 

This year, the Paralympic Games will happen in the Rio de Janeiro between septenber 7th and septenber 18th.
